At ParaQual, we aim to provide a fair and transparent refund policy while complying with applicable UK consumer protection legislation. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing any qualification or service.

1. Your Right to Cancel

If you purchase a qualification online as a consumer, you generally have the right to cancel your contract within 14 calendar days of purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

However, by enrolling, you may request that we begin providing our services immediately, such as granting access to our online platform, assigning an assessor, reviewing your evidence, or conducting an induction session. In these circumstances, different refund rules may apply as set out below.

2. Full Refund Eligibility

You may request a full refund if:

  • Your cancellation request is received within 14 calendar days of payment; and
  • No assessor has been assigned or commenced work on your qualification; and
  • No induction has been carried out; and
  • No assessment, evidence review, or personalised support has been provided.

3. When Refunds Are Not Available

No refund will normally be payable if:

  • More than 14 calendar days have passed since your purchase; or
  • An assessor has started work on your qualification, including but not limited to:
    • Conducting an induction meeting;
    • Reviewing your eligibility;
    • Providing personalised guidance;
    • Reviewing submitted evidence or written responses;
    • Giving assessment feedback;
    • Creating or maintaining your assessment portfolio; or
    • Carrying out any assessment-related activities.

By requesting immediate access to assessment services before the expiry of the 14-day cancellation period, you acknowledge that your statutory cancellation rights may be affected once those services have begun.

4. Access to Online Systems

Providing login credentials for our online assessment platform alone does not necessarily prevent a refund. However, once personalised assessment services have commenced or assessor work has started, refunds will generally no longer be available.

5. Instalment Payments

If you purchase a qualification using an instalment plan, any refund entitlement will be determined in accordance with this policy. Outstanding instalments may remain payable where assessment services have already commenced or contractual obligations continue to apply.

6. Ineligible Registrations

If, during the induction process, the assigned assessor determines that you do not meet the eligibility requirements for the qualification and your registration is cancelled before assessment activities begin, ParaQual may provide a full refund of fees paid.

7. Exceptional Circumstances

Refund requests outside this policy may be considered on a discretionary basis in exceptional circumstances but are not guaranteed.

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us in writing with your full name, order details, and reason for the request.

We aim to review refund requests promptly and, where approved, process refunds using the original payment method.

9. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights that you may have under applicable UK consumer protection legislation. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
